The Devizes Arts Festival has been enriching our town’s cultural life since 1986. Each June, we bring professional performances and talks to venues across Devizes – music, theatre, literature, comedy, and speakers on subjects you won’t find anywhere else nearby. Whether it’s classical, folk, jazz, contemporary music, stand-up comedy, author talks, or hands-on workshops that interests you, our programme has something for everyone.
We’re a charity run entirely by volunteers, receiving no public funding. The festival is supported by ticket sales, local business sponsors, and our Festival Friends, whose subscriptions help keep ticket prices accessible. Within the main programme, we stage free Fringe events and work with Live Music Now to take concerts out to the community.
Over the years, the people of Devizes have demonstrated time and again that they’re willing to enthusiastically back arts events organised locally, and it is this admirable tradition of support that has inspired us to maintain such an ambitious programme. Festival Friends receive priority booking at discounted prices, plus invitations to our Launch Party and AGM.
