The main 2019 Festival has been and gone, and it’s been one of the best, but it’s not all over yet. After his break-down on the M25, Ed Byrne has agreed to come back and do a one-off comedy night on Wednesday, September 11th. Anyone holding a ticket can use it to attend. For those unable to attend a full refund will be made. There is a waiting list at Devizes Books where returned tickets will be allocated to those who have registered their interest.
And we are thrilled to announce that legendary musician and all-round cool cat Georgie Fame is giving a concert on Friday November 8th – that’s one not to be missed.
In this year’s Festival, we sold over 3,000 tickets and money wise we are pretty much on a par with last year’s record takings. The most noticeable thing this year was the feel-good factor from people at events; many spoke very positively about the shows which they attended.
I would like to express our gratitude for the wonderful support we receive from all our sponsors, especially Lead Sponsor Grist Environmental, as well as Awdry Bailey & Douglas, Wadworth and Brogans Café.
Our thanks also go to Devizes Town Council for venues and support staff and technical assistance from Fantasy Radio, Light & Sound and ESP.
