Bath Bach Choir : Choral Concert

Bath Bach Choir

Monday 4th June

St Mary’s Church, New Park Street  7:30pm | £13 R

Founded in 1946 to sing Bach's Mass in B minor, Bath Bach Choir now has a repertoire that encompasses everything from Renaissance madrigals, through classic sacred works to dissonant songs by contemporary composers. The choir's passion for entertaining audiences with dazzling performances stems from its Musical Director of 27 years, Nigel Perrin, whose musicianship and attention to detail are legendary.

For this concert, the choir will perform Rachmaninov's Liturgy of St John Chrysostom and Vivaldi's Gloria, showcasing a rich and evocative piece of sacred Russian Orthodox music alongside an exuberant Italian favourite - in one splendid evening.
