Victoria Glendinning is the award-winning biographer of Elizabeth Bowen, Leonard Woolf, Anthony Trollope, Edith Sitwell, Vita Sackville-West, Rebecca West and Jonathan Swift. Her novels, The Grown-Ups, Electricity and Flight, were critical and commercial successes – and she comes to the Festival following the release in April of her latest novel The Butcher’s Daughter, which is set in the West Country during the turbulent Tudor era.
Vice president of the Royal Society of Literature, Victoria is a regular contributor of reviews and articles to newspapers and magazines, as well as a broadcaster and speaker.
Ticket price includes tea and cake which will be served after the talk, and Victoria will be signing copies of her books.
There will be a bar available.
