Annie Parker with flute

Annie Parker Trio

Sunday 9th June
7pm St John’s Church, Long Street
FREE FRINGE

The Annie Parker Trio brings a fresh and lively approach to jazz. Annie likes to introduce the audience to her array of flutes. Pianist Simon Cook is an ethnomusicologist and also collects unusual instruments. He is at home playing instruments as diverse as serpent and sackbut as well as piano and keyboards. When sonorous double bassist Marianne Windham isn’t busy running Guildford Jazz, Fleet Jazz Club or various jams and workshops she can frequently be heard performing in all sorts of venues. Put these three musicians together and the result is a lively, atmospheric and very friendly trio!
